First of all social worker studies strengths and weaknesses of the diverted juvenile and creates his/her general portrait. For this purpose, juvenile's bio-psycho-social assessment is drawn, which involves a minor study in different directions. Biological, psychological and social factors determine human development and are in constant relation with each other.

Biological factors' influence on human development is too important. This includes: appearance, gender, genetic diseases, and others.
Psychological factors consider human inner world, his conscious and subconscious, intellect, temperament, self-perception, etc.
Social factors are: family and marital relations, peers, social environment (community, neighborhood), economic status and religion.
